  Applicant would be responsible for the following: 


  • Set up and operate small runs of parts on vertical machining centers and turning centers.
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints including GD&T symbols.
  • Be able to maintain accuracy to within +/-.001.
  • Use job followers and set up sheet to complete parts accurately and on time.
  • Saw materia

  • Wears approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.

  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipm

Applicant would be responsible for the following: 


  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Cut, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes to dimensions as specified by blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  • Operate welding equipment such MIG/TIG on materials such as Aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Position and secure workpieces, using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools.
  • Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.

  • Drills, taps, or reams holes as necessary.
  • Test the portable hydraulic units, and plumb it to the unit.
  • Use overhead cranes and jib cranes to maneuver and assemble large assemblies.
  • Test the unit as needed with hydraulic pressure gauges; checking for pressure and leaks.
  • Calibrate and regulate units and final assemblies to meet load capacities and operating requirements.
  • Follow final test procedures and work from checklists for final quality inspection.
